About the project

The Akwa Ibom Security Command and Control Centre is a security project of the Akwa Ibom State Government in Uyo. It is one of the main security reforms of Governor Pastor Umo Eno's administration.

The centre is designed to bring the state's communication and surveillance systems together in one place. It is meant to allow real-time sharing of information between security agencies, coordinated response to incidents, and monitoring of the state's coastline and waterways. It is also linked to the state emergency ambulance service. The centre was listed among the projects lined up for commissioning by President Bola Tinubu during the state's 39th anniversary in September 2026.

The centre sits alongside other support the state has given to security agencies, including 20 patrol vehicles and 14 gunboats for the waterways.

When fully in use, it is expected to strengthen intelligence-led policing, cut response times in emergencies and help keep Akwa Ibom safe for residents and investors, in line with the ARISE Agenda.
