For families and communities
The homes give people who lacked proper shelter a safe place to live. Spreading them over many villages lets communities across the area see support reach their own neighbours.

Do you know a family this will help? Tell me in the comments, and share this with a neighbour so more people can see it.
Homes are being provided at 11 locations. The homes at Okossi and Oyubia are still ongoing.

ARISE Compassionate Homes are free houses that the Akwa Ibom State Government under Governor Umo Eno builds for very poor and vulnerable residents. Beneficiaries are picked at ward level from people living in the worst conditions in their communities.
In Urue Offong/Oruko Local Government Area there are 11 project locations: Eyoeyekip, Eyulor, Ukuda, Offong Oruko, Uboro, Udung Etta, Oduonim Isong, Edok Oruko, Udung Urue, Okossi and Oyubia. The homes at Okossi and Oyubia are still ongoing.
Each home is a furnished two-bedroom bungalow with a solar-powered water supply. Each owner also receives a cash grant of N500,000 to start a small business and earn a living.
Homes at Eyoeyekip and Eyulor were handed over in October 2024, during the visit to commission the Urue Offong-Ibotong Road.
The homes are meant to give families safe and decent shelter and a fresh start, under the social welfare pillar of the ARISE Agenda.

An assessment of the impact of these accomplishments on the people and communities.

A home of their own relieves families of housing costs they could not meet. Building work in the villages also gives jobs to local artisans while it lasts.
