About the project
The ARISE Compassionate Home at Ibam Obot Enen, in Ini Local Government Area, is a new residential bungalow. It was built for a widow whose old thatched house had been destroyed by wind several years earlier.
The home was delivered under the State Government's ARISE Compassionate Homes Initiative. It was formally commissioned and handed over on Saturday, 29 June 2024, at a ceremony at Ibam Obot Enen hosted by the Ini Local Government Transition Committee, then led by Hon. Inibehe Umah. In 2026 the Ini council still listed it among the completed state projects in the LGA.
The house is a painted bungalow with a covered front porch and steps. It replaces unsafe living conditions with safe, secure and decent shelter. Along with the house, a business support grant of N500,000 was given to help the owner earn a steady living.
The home is meant to give a vulnerable family dignity and stability under the ARISE Agenda's care for the poor and the elderly. It is completed and occupied.
