About the project

This is a primary health centre being built at Mbiaya Uruan in Uruan Local Government Area. Work is ongoing. The centre is a long single building with a green roof, and an ambulance is already on site.

Primary health centres are the first point of care for most rural families. They handle routine treatment, antenatal care, immunisation and referrals to larger hospitals.

The centre is meant to bring basic health services closer to residents of Mbiaya Uruan and nearby communities, and to cut the distance people travel for care. It fits the ARISE Agenda's focus on health care at the grassroots.
