The Model Primary Health Centre at Ebe Ekpi is a public health facility built by the Akwa Ibom State Government in Esit Eket Local Government Area. It is part of Governor Pastor Umo Eno's programme of model primary health centres across the state.
The centre brings basic health care closer to Ebe Ekpi and nearby communities that had long lacked a good health facility. It is an orange building with a gated entrance and a paved forecourt, and it has been set up to offer a range of medical services.
The centre is expected to cut the distance people travel for treatment, antenatal care and child health services, and to ease pressure on bigger hospitals. It fits the ARISE Agenda goal of expanding health care access to rural areas.
The centre was inaugurated in September 2026 as part of the projects marking the 39th anniversary of Akwa Ibom State. Senator Ekong Sampson, Senator representing Akwa Ibom South, represented Governor Eno, with the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Ekem John, in attendance.
