For families and communities
The road is meant to join four communities along one route, which can ease trips to markets, schools and clinics. It also meets the Adadia end of the road to Esuk and Odu.

The Nung Udoe - Ibiaku - Obio Ndobo - Adadia Road is a rural access road corridor in Uruan Local Government Area, reaching toward Nung Udoe on the Ibesikpo side. Its main built section is the 7.106-kilometre Ibiaku Obio Ndobo - Adadia Road, which passes through Ibiaku Obio Ndobo, Ikot Akan, Ikot Akpa Ekang and Adadia.
The road is delivered under the Akwa Ibom State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), funded by the World Bank and the French Development Agency (AFD) with counterpart funds from the Akwa Ibom State Government. Akpaven Integrated Services Ltd built it, with Yaroson Partnership as supervising consultant. Host communities were briefed on the project in July 2024 and work was under way by December 2024. By September 2025 the Ibiaku Obio Ndobo - Adadia section was completed and awaiting commissioning.
The road links farming and fishing communities to Issiet Beach Market in Uruan, one of the best known seafood markets in the state, and to Nung Udoe Market in Ibesikpo.
The road is expected to cut travel time and transport costs, help farmers and traders move produce to market, and reduce post-harvest losses. It fits the ARISE Agenda's push to open up rural areas and grow the agricultural economy.

Farming, oil palm production and trade are main livelihoods in Uruan. A good road along this route can help produce reach markets and bring buyers into the villages.
