The model primary healthcare centre at Ikot Nkwo is designed to offer care in a ward with beds and equipment for newborns. Residents of the surrounding communities are expected to reach basic health services closer to home.
The road from Ibesikpo Asutan to Nsit Ubium is expected to make it easier to move people, farm produce and goods between the two areas.
The paved road and roundabout link Ikot Obio Ofong, Nnung Ukana and Obo Ntong Ene Nsit with Nsit Ubium. The health centre has solar panels on its roof, which is designed to support power for the facility.
