About the project

These are 0.89 kilometres of internal roads built inside the grounds of the new General Hospital at Ikot Akpa Nkuk, the headquarters of Ukanafun Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State.

The paved roads run between the hospital blocks and link the buildings to one another and to the car park. Together with the 1.3-kilometre access road, they make up the 2.2 kilometres of roads delivered with the hospital.

The roads are meant to let patients, staff, ambulances and supply vehicles move easily around the hospital in all weather.

The roads were commissioned with the hospital by Governor Pastor Umo Eno on Friday, 21 November 2025.
