About the project

The ARISE Farmers Grant is a cash grant for farmers under Governor Pastor Umo Eno's ARISE Agenda. In Onna Local Government Area, 58 farmers benefited, with N34,000,000 paid in total.

The grant is funded by the Akwa Ibom State Government. Beneficiaries were chosen through the ARISE portal.

The grants were presented on 3 August 2025 at the ARISE Town Square Meeting for Eket Federal Constituency, which covers Eket, Esit Eket, Ibeno and Onna. At that meeting 268 farmers across the four areas received farmers grants, as part of support worth over N400 million to 1,076 people.

The money is meant to help farmers buy inputs, expand their farms and grow more food. It is expected to raise farm incomes and support food security in the state.
