For families and communities
People in these villages still depend on earth roads in poor condition. Proper roads would make daily movement safer and easier.
I want to share that work on Nsie - Offi - Uruting and Nung Atai - Obufi - Atabong roads in Okobo LGA is on the record. These two roads have worn earth surfaces.

These are two community roads in Okobo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. One runs through Nsie, Offi and Uruting. The other runs through Nung Atai, Obufi and Atabong.
Both roads still have worn earth surfaces, and the Offi to Uruting stretch has been abandoned. No contractor, length or start date has been announced for either road, and the status of the work has not been confirmed.
The villages along these routes depend on them to reach farms, markets, schools and health centres. Upgrading them is expected to make daily travel easier, especially in the rainy season, and to help farmers move produce out of the area.

Poor roads make it harder to move farm produce and fish out of these communities. Any gain for trade here depends on the roads being taken up.
