About the project
The Ikot Ubo - Odot Road is a 14.28-kilometre road that runs across Nsit Ubium and Nsit Atai Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State. The project was the full reconstruction and resurfacing of a road that had been badly damaged.
The work was carried out by the Akwa Ibom State Government under Governor Pastor Umo Eno.
The road serves the people of Nsit Ubium and Nsit Atai. It is also a key link for travellers from Eket, Eastern Obolo, Onna, Ikot Abasi and Mkpat Enin Local Government Areas heading to Uyo and the Victor Attah International Airport.
A smoother road is expected to cut travel time, lower vehicle running costs and make it easier to move farm produce and goods to market. It fits the ARISE Agenda aim of linking every part of the state to the capital.
Governor Umo Eno commissioned the road in May 2025, on the same visit at which he opened the Model Primary Health Centre at Ikot Ekwere in Nsit Ubium.
