About the project

The Edebom to Ikot Obok Road is a rural road project in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. It is meant to join the Edebom community to Ikot Obok.

The work is ongoing. The road line has been cleared and graded.

At Ikot Obok, the road will meet two roads already completed in the LGA: the Obo Ntong to Ikot Obok road and the Ikot Obok to Nung Ukana to Ikot Obio Offong road. Together they are meant to form a connected network of rural roads.

When finished, the road is expected to cut travel time between the communities, make it easier for farmers to move produce, and improve access to markets, schools and health care. It fits the ARISE Agenda's aim of opening up rural communities.
