About the project

The Ibesit to Ikot Oto to Ikot Ikpene to Ikot Akama to Itung to Ediene Atai to Ikot Ebak Road is a 12.5-kilometre rural road. It links communities in Oruk Anam and Mkpat Enin Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State.

The Akwa Ibom State Government has provided N1 billion for the road in the 2026 budget. Work on site has not yet been confirmed.

Once built, the road is expected to connect farming communities across the two LGAs, ease the movement of farm produce to markets, and make schools and health centres easier to reach. It is part of the ARISE Agenda's rural roads programme, under which every LGA has one or more roads slated for construction.
