About the project
The project is the construction of a Model Primary Health Centre at Ntak Inyang in Itu Local Government Area. It is one of the model health centres the Akwa Ibom State Government is building and equipping, one in each of the 31 Local Government Areas.
The centre is meant to give people in Ntak Inyang and nearby communities basic care close to home, such as treatment of common illnesses, care for mothers and children, and immunisation.
Together with work on the Mary Slessor Hospital corridor, the centre is part of efforts to bring health care closer to communities in Itu under the ARISE Agenda. Details of the contractor, progress and opening date are not yet available.
