For families and communities
The road is meant to tie the southern part of Ibiono Ibom more closely to Uyo, the state capital. People who live in Ibiono Ibom and work, study or seek services in Uyo should have a more direct route when it is done.

A 7.868km road from Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road. It runs across Uyo and Ibiono Ibom LGAs.

Ring Road 3, from Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road, is a 7.868km dual carriageway. It starts at Idoro Road in Uyo, passes through Ibiono Ibom, and extends to Itak in Ikono Local Government Area, where it meets the Uyo to Ikot Ekpene Road. It continues the Ring Road 3 network around Uyo.
The road is being built by the Akwa Ibom State Government under Governor Umo Eno. Hensek Integrated Services is the contractor. The contract runs for 30 months. By July 2025, the project was about 65 percent complete, with drainage nearly done and earthworks past 75 percent. Work is ongoing.
The road is designed as an alternative route to the busy Uyo to Ikot Ekpene Road. It also serves the Grace Estate housing area and the ARISE medical corridor at Itak.
Once complete, it is expected to ease traffic in and out of Uyo, open new land for housing and business, and improve links between Uyo, Ibiono Ibom and Ikono. It fits the ARISE Agenda's aim of better roads and urban growth.

An assessment of the impact of these accomplishments on the people and communities.
The road is meant to tie the southern part of Ibiono Ibom more closely to Uyo, the state capital. People who live in Ibiono Ibom and work, study or seek services in Uyo should have a more direct route when it is done.
By joining two main roads, Ring Road 3 can let vehicles move between them without passing through the centre of Uyo. This can help the movement of goods and may draw new businesses and housing to the land along the route.
