A 100-bed hospital for maternal, newborn and child care. It was built under the federal Renewed Hope agenda and commissioned on 6 August 2025.

The Renewed Hope Mother and Child Specialist Hospital is a 100-bed hospital at Oko Ita, the headquarters of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area. It is designed to give full care to mothers, newborns and children in Oko Ita and the surrounding communities.
The hospital was planned, built and equipped by the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda, through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (OSSAP-SDGs). Construction cost about N503.6 million, not counting equipment.
The hospital has operating theatres, recovery rooms, private and general wards, consulting rooms, a laboratory and a scanning room. Its equipment includes an ultrasound machine, a vacuum delivery set and a fully stocked emergency cart.
The hospital is meant to cut deaths among mothers and babies by bringing specialist care close to rural women, who would otherwise travel long distances. It supports the health goals of the ARISE Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goal on good health.
Governor Umo Eno, represented by the Deputy Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, commissioned the hospital on 6 August 2025.

Families can spend less on travel to hospitals outside the LGA. The hospital also gives work to health and support staff, and it can bring customers to traders and transport operators in Oko Ita.
