About the project
This is a 1.49-kilometre road between Ikot Akpanya and Asuna in Etinan Local Government Area.
The Akwa Ibom State Government is building the road by direct labour under Governor Umo Eno. It was listed in June 2025 among the state's direct labour and intervention road projects. No start date has been published. Completion and commissioning have not been announced.
The road is expected to join the two communities to each other and to the wider road network, and to make it easier for residents to reach markets, schools, health centres and farms.
