About the project
This is the construction of an access road to the School of Health Technology in Etinan, now known as the Akwa Ibom State College of Health Technology, Etinan. The road is 20 kilometres long. Work is ongoing.
The college trains middle-level health workers for the state. A good road into the campus is meant to give students, staff and visitors safe, all-season access to the school.
The road is expected to cut travel time to the college and reduce wear on vehicles. It should also make the campus easier to reach in an emergency and support the plan to improve training for health workers under the ARISE Agenda of Governor Pastor Umo Eno's administration.
