About the project

The 4.95-kilometre Ekparakwa to Ntak Ibesit Road is a rural road in Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. It runs from Ekparakwa to Ntak Ibesit.

The road was started under the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel. Governor Pastor Umo Eno's administration continued the work and completed it. It was one of the inherited roads in Oruk Anam that the state government listed for inauguration. The contractor has not been published.

Governor Eno commissioned the road on 14 November 2024 at Ekparakwa. He was represented by the Deputy Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, and a delegation of state government officials. The project is completed.

The road is expected to make it easier for residents of Ekparakwa and Ntak Ibesit to reach farms, markets and neighbouring communities. It fits the rural development pillar of the ARISE Agenda, under which the state government has pledged to finish inherited projects.
