About the project

This is an official residence for the Chairman of Oron Local Government Area. The administration has undertaken its construction.

The Akwa Ibom State Government is building official residences, called Chairman's Lodges, for council chairmen in local government areas across the state under Governor Pastor Umo Eno. The Eket lodge was the first. No site works, contractor or dates have been published for Oron, and the stage of the work has not been confirmed.

A proper residence is meant to give the chairman a secure and dignified place to live while in office. It supports the governance side of the ARISE Agenda.
