About the project
This project is the rehabilitation of an existing 1.142-kilometre road between Ikot Obio Eket and Ikot Mbong in Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
The work is backlog maintenance, meant to repair a road that had worn out over the years rather than build a new one. It is among the road works in Onna under the administration of Governor Pastor Umo Eno. No contractor, start date or commissioning date has been published. The road has been rehabilitated and now has a finished asphalt surface.
Once repaired, the road is expected to be safer and easier to use for residents, traders and farmers moving between the two communities, and to last longer before it needs major work again.
