For families and communities
The school gives children in Okobo a new public primary school building to learn in. A sound building can make parents more willing to enrol children and keep them in school.

About the project
The ARISE Model Primary School in Okobo is a new public primary school built by the Akwa Ibom State Government under Governor Umo Eno's ARISE Agenda. It is part of a plan to give each of the 31 local government areas in the state its own model primary school.
The school has been completed and commissioned. Its main building has a green roof and a covered entrance, and it is run as a model smart school.
Model schools under this plan are designed with modern classrooms, an ICT laboratory, a library, a sick bay, a playground and sports field, staff quarters, water supply and solar power. Pupils also receive free uniforms and exercise books.
The school is meant to give children in Okobo a modern place to learn close to home and to raise the standard of public primary education in the area. It fits the education pillar of the ARISE Agenda.

An assessment of the impact of these accomplishments on the people and communities.
For work and income
A public primary school close to home can lower what families spend on sending young children to school elsewhere. The school also gives work to teachers and support staff.
