About the project

This project is the construction of a model primary school at Ikot Ekpene Udo in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. It is part of the state government's programme of model primary schools across the local government areas.

The Akwa Ibom State Government is funding the work, which is ongoing. Governor Pastor Umo Eno has inspected the school during his project tours of Nsit Ubium, including in November 2025, May 2026 and July 2026.

The school is meant to give children in Ikot Ekpene Udo and nearby communities a modern place to learn. It is expected to raise the standard of basic education in the area and fits the ARISE Agenda focus on education.

Ikot Ekpene Udo is also the site of a new general hospital, a solar water facility and internal roads.
