About the project
The Oboyo Ikot Ita to Ikot Ifiok to Ekpene Ikpan Road is a rural road project in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. It runs from Oboyo Ikot Ita through Ikot Ifiok to Ekpene Ikpan.
The road is under construction. The road line has been cleared and side drains are in place.
The road is meant to connect communities that already host public facilities. Oboyo Ikot Ita is home to the Model Primary Health Centre, and Ekpene Ikpan has a Water of Life clean water project.
When finished, it is expected to give residents easier access to health care, clean water, markets and schools, and to help farmers move their produce. It fits the ARISE Agenda's aim of opening up rural communities.
