About the project
The Model Primary School at Afaha Offiong, known as the Lutheran Model School, is a modern primary school in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area. It stands near the LGA headquarters at Afaha Offiong.
The school was built by the Akwa Ibom State Government as part of the plan to build a model primary school in each of the 31 local government areas of the state.
It has classrooms furnished with desks, a computer room and a hallway, with modern learning facilities meant to give pupils a good place to learn.
The school is expected to raise basic education standards in the LGA and give children, whatever their background, access to quality learning. It supports the education pillar of the ARISE Agenda.
The school was inaugurated on Thursday, 7 May 2026 by the Deputy Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, who represented Governor Umo Eno.
