About the project
This project covers the construction of internal roads inside the campus of the Akwa Ibom State University of Education at Afaha Nsit, in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area.
The work is ongoing. A road beside the campus buildings has been graded.
The roads follow the upgrade of the former Akwa Ibom State College of Education into a university, which the State Executive Council presided over by Governor Umo Eno approved on 13 October 2025. Good roads within the campus are part of the facilities a university needs.
When finished, the roads are expected to make it easier for students, lecturers and visitors to move around the campus in all seasons, and to improve the learning environment. The project supports the human capital development pillar of the ARISE Agenda.
