About the project

The Ikot Ubo - Odot Road is a 14.28-kilometre road that links Odot, the headquarters of Nsit Atai Local Government Area, with Ikot Ubo in Nsit Ubium LGA.

The road was built by the Akwa Ibom State Government under Governor Umo Eno and is completed. It is paved, with a roundabout along the route.

The road is more than a local link. It gives people from Nsit Ubium and Nsit Atai, and travellers from Eket, Eastern Obolo, Onna, Mkpat Enin and Ikot Abasi, a shorter way to Uyo and to Victor Attah International Airport. It is expected to cut travel time, ease the movement of farm produce and support trade along the route, in line with the ARISE Agenda's focus on rural roads.

The road was inaugurated by Governor Umo Eno in May 2025.
