About the project

This is the official residence being built for the Executive Chairman of Nsit Atai Local Government Council, whose headquarters is at Odot. It is part of a programme announced by Governor Umo Eno to build a residence for the council chairman in each of the 31 local government areas of Akwa Ibom State. The first of these residences was at Eket.

The building is under construction, and officials have visited the site to check on the work.

Governor Eno has said council chairmen should live among the people they serve. The residence is meant to give the council's chief executive a proper official home in Nsit Atai, so the chairman can stay close to the communities and respond faster to local needs.
