About the project

The Model Primary School at Ikot Uboh is a planned modern primary school in Ikot Abasi Local Government Area. It is designed to give children in Ikot Uboh a modern place to learn, in place of old classrooms with leaking roofs and too few toilets.

The school is part of the model primary schools the Akwa Ibom State Government is building across the state under the ARISE Agenda of Governor Umo Eno.

Plans for the school include classrooms, a head teacher's office, an ICT room and library, and toilets with water supply. It is meant to serve pupils and teachers in Ikot Uboh, their parents, and children who are now out of school.

The school is expected to draw more children into class, help keep teachers in the community, and give work to local artisans during construction.
