About the project

This is a road in Ika Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. It runs from Itak Nkarika, also called Udi Village, to Ikot Essien and on to Ikot Uko.

The Governor has flagged off its construction. Its length, contractor and start date have not been published.

Once built, the road is meant to give these villages an all-season link to one another and to the wider road network in Ika. It is expected to make it easier for farmers to move their produce, for children to get to school and for families to reach health care and markets.
