About the project
The ARISE Compassionate Home in Ibeno is a new bungalow built near Iwuochang Market in Ibeno Local Government Area. It replaced the family's old house.
The home was delivered by the Akwa Ibom State Government under the ARISE Compassionate Homes programme. It was handed over on 19 June 2024. The Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, was represented by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Uko Udom, SAN. The Ibeno handover was the first stop of a day of handovers that then moved on to Onna and Eket.
The house was handed over fully furnished. It has solar powered lighting and a borehole. The family also received a business grant of 500,000 Naira to help them start a small business and support the household.
The home is part of the ARISE Agenda's care for vulnerable people. It is completed and in use.
