About the project
The Model Primary School at Okoroete is a new public primary school being built in the headquarters of Eastern Obolo Local Government Area. It is part of Governor Umo Eno's ARISE Agenda promise of a model primary school and a model health centre in every local government area of Akwa Ibom State.
Work is ongoing. The school buildings have their roofs on and stand in their own grounds.
The state's model primary schools are designed with modern classrooms, a computer laboratory, a library, solar power and staff quarters, and pupils receive free uniforms and books.
When finished, the school is meant to give children in Eastern Obolo a modern place to learn close to home and to raise the standard of public primary education in the area.
