About the project

The Youth Friendly Centre in Mbo Local Government Area is part of the Akwa Ibom State Government's plan to build a youth centre in each of the 31 LGAs, under the ARISE Agenda of Governor Pastor Umo Eno.

The centres are built at local government headquarters. For Mbo, that is Enwang. They are meant to give young people, especially in rural areas, a place to meet and learn skills such as ICT, fashion and design, and catering, and to develop their own business ideas.

Mbo was not among the first 11 LGAs flagged off in October 2025. No start date or contractor has been published, and progress has not been confirmed.
