About the project
The Model Primary School in Enwang is the model primary school for Mbo Local Government Area. Enwang is the headquarters of Mbo LGA. The school is part of the One-Project-Per-LGA plan under the ARISE Agenda of Governor Pastor Umo Eno, which places a model primary school in each of the 31 LGAs of Akwa Ibom State.
The school is being delivered by the Akwa Ibom State Government. Model schools under the programme are built with fully furnished classrooms, an administrative block, a library and e-library, an ICT centre, laboratories, a sick bay, staff quarters, playgrounds, water supply and solar power.
The school is meant to give children in Mbo a modern place to learn, with good facilities close to home, and to raise the standard of basic education in the area.
