The Eket to Ibeno to Nditia Road is a rural road project that runs from Eket through Ibeno to Nditia. It is delivered under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP).
RAAMP is run by the Akwa Ibom State Government with financing support from the World Bank, the African Development Bank and the Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD). It builds rural roads and modern markets so that farmers can get their produce to buyers more easily. The length, contractor and dates for this road have not been published, and its status has not yet been confirmed.
When complete, the road is expected to improve links between Eket, the coastal communities of Ibeno and Nditia, and the farms and fishing settlements along the way. It is meant to cut the cost of moving farm and fish produce to market.
The road fits the ARISE Agenda focus on rural development and agriculture. Across the state, RAAMP has already delivered more than 200 kilometres of rural roads.
