In all, N250 million in grants and nine vehicles, made up of three cars and six mini buses, went to 540 people across the three LGAs. The Governor said the support was given regardless of party, and that the names of beneficiaries and the amounts paid were made public. The grants are meant to help small traders, farmers and artisans grow their businesses and create jobs in their communities.

Grants give farmers money for planting and stock, and give traders working capital. Equipment and vehicles help business owners to produce and deliver more.
