About the programme

The ARISE grants and equipment support scheme gives cash grants, work tools and vehicles to people in Etinan Local Government Area. It is part of the empowerment programme of Governor Pastor Umo Eno's administration under the ARISE Agenda.

In Etinan, 157 farmers received the ARISE Farmers Grant, worth N89.5 million in total. Another 97 traders received the ARISE Traders Grant, worth N46.45 million in total. A further 56 people received equipment support, two people received the N5 million MSME Grant, worth N10 million together, and one person received a car.

Beneficiaries are picked from the ARISE portal, the official registration platform for the scheme, and not through slots shared to individuals. The grants were presented through the Town Square Meeting and empowerment series. The series ended with the Etinan Federal Constituency meeting on 23 August 2025 at the Nsit Ubium Council Secretariat, Ikot Edibon, where 844 people from Etinan, Nsit Ibom and Nsit Ubium received packages worth N361.45 million.

The support is meant to help small farmers grow their farms, help traders build up their stock and give artisans the tools they need to work. It is expected to raise household incomes and create jobs in rural communities.
